Valve Solutions for Design and Manufacture

ogvxl are leaders in the design and manufacture of high-performance triple offset isolation butterfly valves, ideally suited for use in light vacuum to high-pressure applications, including O&G, water & wastewater, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, sugar and ethanol.

Noted for our market-proven Octodrive valve – which achieves maximum drive and train strength while reducing seat load torque and maintaining tight shut off, we also provide a wide range of leading-edge valve solutions from other high-quality producers, including:

    • Ball valves
    • Gate valves
    • Control valves
    • Butterfly valves
    • Choke valves
    • Firesafe certified to ISO 10497, ogvxl valves are designed to optimise space and weight savings while keeping installation and maintenance costs low.

Unique among the features of this valve is our patented octagon drive system which is renowned for its ability to maximise drive train strength.

Across the ogvxl range, valves are available for a wide range of standard or cryogenic applications and designed to withstand pressures of up to 260 Barg and temperatures from 538 °C to –196 °C.

    • Fast Assembly Modular Switchgear
    • Custom Assembly Modular Switchgear

ogvxl’s valves are designed in house using the latest CAD and CAM software to ensure the highest quality and maintain design for manufacture. FEA and CFD analysis verify the design to maximise performance.

Our valves are available with removable bolted-body seat or integral weld overlay body seat options, while the seat angles are individually designed to achieve less torque and greater Flow Coefficient (Cv).

ogvxl is accredited to PED 97/23/EC for design and manufacture. All valves are manufactured in-house using XL Group’s CNC machines, linked to CAM software. Each production process is overseen by our highly skilled workforce, whose long technical experience spans a wide range of trade disciplines.

Assembly is carried out in XL Group’s 2,000m2 factory in Forfar, Angus, just 50 miles south of Aberdeen. The facility has a testing capability up to 1400 Barg with computer controlled hydrostatic testing or gas testing for valves in accordance with clients’ specifications and industry standards. Cameras allow our technicians and clients to view and monitor the valves’ performance from the safety of the test room.

ogvxl valves are designed to minimise component parts. This eases assembly and simplifies maintenance, while reducing parts requirement and keeping costs down. Engineers and telephone support are available around the clock, while valve control systems can also be provided via our sister division, automationxl. These can be SIL rated for use in ESD and HIPPS applications.
